Writing is a powerful way for me to connect with my subconscious. The act of writing, by allowing a stream of consciousness to flow through me, often reveals insights and clues for healing.
For me, these poems and reflections aren't just words on a page; they serve as both a portal and a process. They allow me to explore and understand what lies beneath the surface. I'm sharing these words with you because I believe they demonstrate how vulnerability can be a source of strength and can lead to resilience.
I hope you enjoy these smatterings of my mind, and maybe they inspire you to write as well!

The winds of change
bring winds of pain
and with that we believe the stories of our grief to be true
And what is true is merely the emotion buried in the depths waiting to be felt
and if you allow it to surface in it’s painful glory
what is true is merely you perfectly safe
nothing wrong just as you are

In order to tame
the wild beast
that lives inside your core
you must first
say her name
let her now that you are there
if you reach out your hand
she may bite
for she is afraid
In order to tame
the wild beast
that lives inside your soul
she must first
find her roar
she must unleash
her potent breathe
For she was never meant to tame her voice
Suppressed within the depths
Her aching heart can no longer bear the inauthentic stare
She must release her voice so pure
So she can carry on
She must express her deepest self
for the wildness within her
was never meant to be tamed in the first place

Wait!
Before you go
I need to tell you
I love you so
I didn’t meant to break your heart
I was lost and backwards
From the Start
I watched you suffer from within
You strength covered up your gentle skin
I couldn’t recognize your pain
I never felt my own within
How do I help you when
you’ve always helped me
Just look in the mirror and you will see
Love mirrored back
The answer is clear
To love is to accept and nothing more
Wait!
But it’s too lateYou had to go
What’s left I carry and each day I grow
learning how to love and how to let go

The truth is
Loss will teach you how to feel
Shame will teach you how to be
Grief will teach. you how to love
Pain will teach you gratitude
Death will show you how to live
